Standing at the end of the narrow Siq, I held my breath. For the past twenty minutes, I had been walking through the towering, winding canyon walls, and suddenly, the dark path opened up to the most breathtaking view of my life. There it was—the Treasury, carved directly into the rose-red rock, glowing brilliantly in the afternoon sun. As I stood there, surrounded by the echoes of ancient history, I could almost picture the Nabanean merchants walking these very paths over two thousand years ago. It felt less like visiting a historical site and more like stepping straight into a living dream.
